Albuquerque Local History

Well known local historian and author of the book, "Allbuquerque, Then and Now," Mo Palmer is constantly busy preserving and sharing our city's history.  She is a regular volunteer at the Albuquerque Museum Photoarchives and at Albuquerque's Special Collections Library located at Edith and Central.  Mo is also the archivist for Presbyterian Healthcare Services and research assistant to Peter Nabokov.  She continues to collect oral histories and, with Maryellen Hennessey, is digitizing the Cobb photo collection owned by Frances Haussamen.

Some of the efforts she worked on include:
  • A talk for Bayita neighborhood potluck end of March 2014
  • A talk in May 2014 for the Albuquerque Community Foundation
  • A talk about "Albuquerque and Tuberculosis" in June 2014 as part of the Albuquerque Library 2014 Speaker Series, From New Town to the Nuclear Age
  • An anniversary documentation project on Popejoy Hall with UNM KNME Television
